Healing Art Works, Inc., is a non-profit organization committed to providing works of original art for patient rooms at hospitals and medical centers in order to facilitate emotional and physical healing through art.

Healing through art – one room at a time.

Healing Art Works focuses its efforts on one healthcare institution per calendar year. Prior to the commencement of each year’s project, Healing Art Works meets with institution representatives to assess the facility’s needs and to define a goal for the number of pieces to be collected for that year’s project. This one-institution-per-year approach is intended to maximize the impact of the program at each facility partnering with Healing Art Works.

Collection of artwork is a year-round endeavor, with selected works benefiting that year’s chosen institution. Artist submissions are juried by Healing Art Works Board Members for presentation and appropriateness of subject matter. Healing Art Works coordinates collection of all selected artwork and works with the institution to arrange delivery.

Healing Art Works functions as an intermediary between artists and healthcare institutions to effect the following:

To work with one healthcare institution per calendar year
To provide patients, their families, and hospital staff with visually pleasing original works of art for patient rooms as directed by each hospital
To solicit and coordinate donations from artists nationwide
To ensure quality of all artwork and appropriate presentation
To coordinate size, quality, and subject matter preferences for the healthcare facility
To provide donating artist with a receipt for tax purposes
