Healing Art Works, Inc., is a recognized 501 (c)(3) organization committed to providing works of original art for patient spaces at medical centers and outpatient facilities in order to facilitate emotional and physical healing through art.
Healing through art – one room at a time.
Healing Art Works focuses its efforts on one healthcare institution for a two-year period. Prior to each project's kick-off, Healing Art Works meets with representatives from the institution to assess the facility’s needs and to define a goal for the number of pieces to be collected.
Collection of artwork is a two-year endeavor, beginning with a nationwide solicitation of artists and ending with selected works benefiting the chosen institution. Artist submissions are juried by Healing Art Works board members for presentation and appropriateness of subject matter. Pieces accepted by the board are then presented to the hospital for final approval.
Healing Art Works coordinates collection of all selected artwork and arranges delivery with the institution. Upon delivery, the pieces become the permanent property of the hospital, with the understanding that the works will be displayed in patient areas.
Healing Art Works functions as an intermediary between artists and healthcare institutions to effect the following:

To work with one healthcare institution per two-calendar years

To provide patients, their families, and hospital staff with visually pleasing original works of art for patient spaces as directed by each hospital

To solicit and coordinate donations from artists nationwide

To ensure quality of all artwork and appropriate presentation

To provide donating artist with a receipt for tax purposes
