Ethel Backenstose – Penn Township, PA

Primarily a self-taught artist, Ethel began with oils, but currently also does watercolor. Her subjects are local landscapes and scenes from vacations, as well as still lifes and florals. Ethel studied under Dennis Minch for a number of years and has participated in many varied workshops. She is represented in several galleries and currently teaches local budding artists. Participating in juried regional shows, she has been the recipient of several awards. Ethel is a member of the Artists Circle, the Chester County Art Association, and Flying Colors.
