Edward Clark – Honolulu, HI

“A piece of glass art takes its own personality and form as it is being made. Sculpting the glass occurs in that brief moment in time when molten material begins to solidify and awaits the guidance of the artist. The joy I receive from the process of glass from the furnace makes the battle between creation and the chemistry experiment with glass all worth the ride.”
Ted Clark earned his BA and BS from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and spent four years studying at the Pratt Fine Arts Center.  He has taken many classes in art, but began to seriously study and work with glass in 2000 when he became an assistant to glass fabricators in Seattle, WA and found joy in the process.  Since then he has gone on to win numerous prizes and awards for his sculptural glass work.
