Members of the Healing Art Works Board will jury all artwork to ensure proper content and presentation of each piece. All mediums are welcome. To be considered, an artist must submit a completed application form along with an 8” x 10” original photograph, jpeg, eps, or tiff of the donation piece.
Artists who donate are entitled to a tax deduction for materials and shipping costs as allowed under federal and state tax laws. Proper paperwork will be provided by Healing Art Works to each artist upon receipt of the piece. Healing Art Works does not provide artists with assistance in seeking tax deductions or appraisal value of the donated artwork.
Parameters for original artwork include the following:
- Type: original art only
- Unframed
- Sizes: Minimum image size is 8" x 10". Maximum image size of 16" x 22" for
Oncology and maximum image size of 16" x 28" for Maternity.
- Mediums: Watercolor, oil, acrylic, colored pencil, pastels, fabric, photography,
and garden sculpture. Other mediums must be approved by Cooper University
Hospital.
- Subject Matter: Artwork must be of serene and uplifting themes; landscapes, seascapes, natural settings, still life, and abstracts. No food themes, please.
- Mail original 8” x 10” photograph of art submission, or email a high resolution jpeg, eps, or tiff to submissions@healingartworks.org.
- Short artist's biography and, if desired, your inspiration for the piece.
Deadlines for Projects:
- Sumissions for Project 2009-2010 Cooper University Hospital is August 31, 2010
- Submissions for Project 2008 is closed
- Submissions for the The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center are now closed.
- Submissions for the The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia are now closed.
