This, while she was a resident of Canada for five years. While there, she studied Botanical Illustration at the Royal Botanic Gardens, outside of Toronto. Given wonderful direction, her interest flaired until she studied with teachers in both England and Australia.
She has been recognized by the Hunt Institute of Botanical Illustration at Carnegie Mellon Institute. This is considered one of the highest levels of recognition a botanical artist can acheive.
Having studied and painted in that art form for nearly 17 years, Connie has changed the course of her studies and thinking and is currently pursuing other avenues of interest to her. She is painting in acrylics, watercolor and drawing--always drawing. She is also teaching at Nativity Preparatory School for Boys in Wilmington, Delaware. |
