Healing Art Works is pleased to announce Project 2007: The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (www.chop.edu) in Philadelphia, PA.  A non-profit organization, Healing Art Works places original, donated artwork in patient areas of hospitals and medical centers in order to facilitate emotional and physical healing through art. The organization works with one medical facility per year, to provide artwork that meets the need and criteria of the hospital. 

Ranked as the #1 children’s hospital in the nation by both U.S.News & World Report and Child magazines, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia provides a rich and diverse artistic experience for its patients and their families. Permanent installations such as mosaic collages and sculptures highlight public areas. Art created by the children adorns hallways. Patients even have the opportunity to present their creations in operable frames just outside their doors, providing personalization to their rooms during their stays.

An internal art committee at the hospital seeks to introduce more original artwork throughout the hospital’s existing and expanding patient and public spaces. The hospital’s commitment to embrace the power of original art is the perfect complement to Healing Art Works’ mission. Both entities are very enthusiastic about this exciting opportunity.
