“My love of photography started as a teenager. That's when my father gave me his old 35 mm Yashica camera. I can still remember those days thumbing through the pages of Life and The National Geographic magazines, wishing I has captured those images that captured my imagination. The images would guide me to a different culture, a different understanding and a different reality. They challenged me to think beyond my familiar surroundings and more towards the similarities within all of us. Through the years my assignments and opportunities have taken me to places and countries, I only dream of as a teenager, to capture my own moments in time. My photos are a big part of what make my world go round. And in a lot of ways they represent that teenage boy searching for the beauty and power of images. The true joy of life lives in each of us and is only fully realized when shared with others.”
