Myra Ryan – Riverton, NJ

Myra Ryan has been painting for more than 30 years. She currently works with watercolor, soft and oil pastels, and mixed media. Myra studied with watercolorist Jean Spicer, pastelist Julie Friedman, and mixed media artist/teacher Pat San Souci.
She seeks to express emotions and feelings through color. Myra is interested in knowing the reactions and thoughts of the people who view her work. Her 2008 solo exhibition in Mt. Holly, NJ was entitled, “What do you see? What do you feel?”
She has juried into numerous shows throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania and exhibited in two-person exhibitions in Cooperstown NY and Bryn Mawr, PA. In New Jersey, Ms. Ryan has had solo exhibitions in Riverton, Pemberton, the Palmyra Cove Education Center and Home Fine Art Gallery in Mt. Holly. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA and private collections in the US and France.
Ms. Ryan is a member of the Burlington County Art Guild, the Artists’ Circle, Mainline Art Center, Willingboro Art Alliance, and is a signature member of the New Jersey Pastel Painters Society. She is Vice President of Home Fine Art Gallery.
Myra especially enjoys encouraging others to use art as a means of personal expression and teaches oil and soft pastel painting in her studio. When not painting or teaching, Myra can be found in her garden, “painting with flowers.”
For more information about Myra’s work, she may be contacted at rmmlryan@aol.com.
